you think our defense spends their time learning our offensive plays and calls?!?!? Good lord.

So they may actually be really good numbers.

In what world of college football is a 35% comp. rate "good numbers"?

Scrimmage numbers have never mattered in the past

New to the Rant? There has been some serious moaning over those numbers in the past.

As another wondered, how is 35% a good thing for the O?

I don't think it really matters one way or the other. One thing I have always said is that scrimmage scores and stats have little effect on games. Once these kids run out of that tunnel behind O, things will be fine.

Is it possible that Orgeron makes up scrimmage statistics to throw off our opponent? Similar to how coaches can downplay or embellish injury reports. I really am not concerned with the lack-luster stats in a controlled scrimmage, but wonder if maybe he deludes reality a little bit in order to make us look a little weaker offensively. It's no secret that our defense will be our strength- so saying they've been dominant isn't giving anything away. Just a question that has crossed my mind and am interested to see what others think.

He's far more respected in coaching circles than you give him credit for.

Does respect from other coaches increase his ability to install a competent offense and effectively call plays?
