The offense was bound to be our weak link at the beginning of the season. Too many changes in personnel and scheme were always gonna hinder the progression of this offense. Good news is that it will get better as the season goes. The younger guys will find their way and the efficiency of the offense will improve. It’s just growing pains. The defense has always been amongst the best in the country since Aranda came here, but it is expected to be even better this year. What the O is going against is no slouch. According to scrimmage reports WR had an unusual amount of dropped balls that scrimmage. That would indicate an off day by the receivers and not the normal occurrence. Especially with a coach like Sullivan. All indications were that Burrow put the ball where guys could catch it but they had a rough day against that defense and dropped a lot of balls they normally catch. I would not expect 9-6 type games at all. There only a handful of teams with defense even comparable to LSU.
