From 2nd year associate at Big 4 to interim CFO of a <$20mm revenue business. Took all of 3 months to realize the learning curve, first year audit was a little tough, been smooth sailing ever since. I knew the equity group that purchased the business and asked me if I'd interview, surely wasn't the best candidate on paper but I did a great job in the interview.
