This includes allowing the old oil to drain a while and also torquing everything to spec (why I do my own oil changes).

And people need to check the torque of their lug nuts. My daughter ran over something in her Infinity and could not get the lug nuts off while on the side of the interstate. I went to help her and could not do it with the Infinity supplied lug wrench. Used a socket wrench with a cheater pipe and broke 2 of the 6 studs, because whatever a-hole rotated her tires used an impact wrench and over tightened them. They were supposed to be 80FP. I got her car home and changed the lugs. Then torqued them correctly and let her try to loosen them. She was able to do it with the Infinity wrench with no problem.

So that is what you get when you let some yahoo go to town with his impact wrench.

(She knew how to change the tire because I made her and my son change a tire before I would let them drive by themselves. You never know when you will need to know how to do it, and she is very independent.)
