Gentry may keep him at the 4 in the regular season to save wear and tear on his body, but the coach will move his superstar to the 5 in the playoffs, where he is essentially unstoppable.

this line of thinking though aggravates me...who are the centers left that will put "wear & tear" on davis, at the 5?

he's bigger than capela
gasol? nurkic? adams maybe?

we have randle now who can post up on offense, and ease the burden on davis at the end of the shot clock

It's the actual 82 games of it more than individual players.

Thats the issue. Not actual players. When it comes to playoffs, he will play the 5. But reducing the risk and wear during the regular season is a smart move.

The Drummonds and Jordans of the world can be pretty intense for AD. I know he plays well against Detroit, but he’s still banging with some big bodies.
