Depends on where you'd have to live. If you can afford a house close to the coast in SD, that would be pretty awesome. But my guess is you'd be living pretty far inland even at $170k. That's no bueno. So I'd probably opt for Tacoma.

San Diego would be a great place to live. But the answer depends on if you are married and/or have kids and if so does the wife work because the real estate is expensive. If you are single this is a no brainer
