Has anyone here made their own Trader Joe's Everything But the Bagel seasoning?

I've been ordering it from Amazon but have to pay more than it costs to buy from Trader Joe's. I've seen copycat recipes, but before I make my own, wondering if any of you have done it and if it is as good. I love this stuff!

Never tried the TJs version, but everything seed is usually a mix of poppy, sesame, dried onion bits, granulated garlic, and salt. I like to add a little fennel to the mix. You can toast the seeds, but I don’t because I often use the mix as a topping for bread added before baking. Seeds would burn If pre toasted. Easy enough to mix yourself and cheap if you have access to bulk spices.

The Spice House sells an 8-oz bag for $12.

I have a bottle I used once. I’ll mail it to you.

I wasn’t a fan, which is weird because I really thought I would be.

I will probably mix some myself, just trying to determine the recipe. The ingredients include a mix of sesame seeds (white and black), sea salt flakes, dried minced garlic, dried minced onion, and poppy seeds, just not sure of proportions.

I want it EXACTLY the same!

Spread a tablespoon of the TJs on a plate in a single layer. You should be able to figure out the ratio of seeds to salt to onion bits, at least.

I found some at Sam’s last week. Never had TJ’s but this one is good!
