Watched it last night on AXS tv for the first time in quite a while. Great film with many memorable lines. It has some cheesy dialogue with very odd split-screen action scenes, but Burt in his prime was golden. They don't make movies like that anymore...

Way better than the remake/reboot.

The film has some serious undertones about abuse of power, but it was trying to stay light and straddle the comedy line.

Plus, you had a bunch of jocks pressed into duty as actors.

That was kind of in-style at that time - it made sense, we spent all this money on stunts and action scenes, let's show more of them.

What the hell are you talking about?! They literally made a movie with the SAME TITLE with Adam Sandler several years ago!!

One of my favorites. The first few minutes of the film, which detail how he landed in prison, wouldn't be permitted by PC culture today. The Sandler remake didn't have all of that.

Love this movie.

Remake was terrible.
