What's going on with running backs?

We lose out on Emery, Cain may commit but it hasn't happened yet, and no other top recruits are seemingly high on us? What
in the hell else does a program need to do to prove we put backs in the NFL!? They have success after leaving too! We aren't just not getting elite backs, we are letting them slip out of our own back yard! Downvote me all you want but it's true and absolutely frustrating! So what's the problem? Why are we struggling?

Did you even bother to read the thread titles on the RB homepage?

I understand where this is coming from, but people are forgetting we have Tyrion Davis already. 6-1 230 lb 4 star. Let's not dismiss the guy just because he committed early.
Curry was a 4 star last year, we'll get Davis and someone else this year.

The #7 RB in the Nation is currently committed to LSU
Cain’s also still very much in the picture........

Things arent over with on Emery (still in contact and open line of communication) and Cain hasnt committed anywhere yet, relax.

I'm not dismissing him but have you seen our depth chart compared to Georgia's? Emery has a hell of alot better chance to play early here than he does at Georgia! We need 2 elite backs. One elite back and one very good back if not elite as well. Just not understanding why kids wouldn't be lined up at the door wanting to play for LSU with all of our recent success with running backs.

Man I hope you are right! This one really hurts for me. He's a 5 star back out of our own backyard. Not only does it worry me that another school not named Bama stole away a 5 star recruit, but that it's a damn running back! That has been consistently the position that has shined for us for nearly a decade.

We do already have Davis committed. I 100% belive we will land Emery or Cain as well by NSD. It’s nothing to worry about yet. The depth at Georgia is crazy and Emery probably just hasn’t looked into that much, I guarantee our staff will be feeding him the typical “you won’t play much till you’re a junior” or whatever it takes. The feeling Emery felt in Georgia could ware off after a couple months, were still on him. As for Cain, I think he’s a tiger unless Emery comes back.

Okay thanks, and that's quite the optimism you have and I hope you are right on all that especially Emery. I feel like with all the new coaches and recent success that Georgia has accomplished, it has me worried of a serious decline. We have Jimbo now in our division as well as a great coach in Mullen at Florida; who we play yearly. We better stay on top of our game and compete like hell or we'll start losing recruits fast and end up like Tennessee on a decade decline.

The RB's coach what's his name, Robinson I think, this is a reflection on him as a recruiter imo that he can't get backs to commit, and right now he's failing to me - grade F. Emery a homegrown talent spurns LSU for Georgia, a team already deep with RB talent, and now a 3 star in A Spivey spurns you for Arkansas saying he connected with the RB's coach over at Arky. Also, Ty Davis was thinking about Georgia for a minute before Emery went and committed. I mean I don't know what type of person Robinson is, but it seems he's not too shabby a guy right now. Lol I mean I always hear about these other asst coaches and their efforts they put forth in visiting and calling players that they're after, but I hardly ever hear about or read stories about Robinson putting forth these kinds of effort.

That was not a committable offer at the moment. No way would they take him this early and run off Emery and Cain.

I think they planned on taking 2 more RB's, so a Spivey committing wouldn't have affected Cain or Emery from commiting, but I mean Emery is out the picture now. So, they say anyways, but they planned on taking 3 RB's I believe.

I agree that Robinson is doing a shite job, but Emery isn’t quite out of it yet. We’re still going to recruit him till it’s all said and done I belive. Taking 3 RB’s is fine, but I think holding off on Spivey was the right move for now.

Definitely not the plan, they wanted 2 RBs this class and wanted them to be 2 of Davis, Emery and Cain. If for whatever reason all 3 of those wanted on board, they would be willing to do it, but only those 3 because of how good they feel they are.
They are not going to reach for a 3rd back i nthe class (Especially with other needs), we would have umteen RBs on the roster next year. We only lose Brosette after this year, so 2 is plenty.
CEH
Curry
Fournette
Provens
+ any incoming RBs
I am not counting Ducre in all this because he just doesnt seem to really factor in much, making the move back to RB this fall though.

I hear ya, that's cool with me, but I hope they get after it or Robinson light a fire under his arse or something.

Fournette should be gone too next year.

Only a junior this year, so he has 1 more year left if he wants it.

Oh, yeah, must have gotten redshirted 1 year, but I don't expect him to come back next season, I expect him to bail for the NFL.

You think little Fournette is going to the NFL? Nah.

What's the deal with Deondrick Glass 4* 5'11 200 out of Katy? 24/7 has him 100% to us. His film is impressive.
