You don't get to handpick certain strokes to remove, while keeping others.

Yes, he missed a birdie by two dimples of the ball.. but he also jammed in a par save on Saturday that could have cost him another stroke.

He shot a 64 on Sunday, which tied for lowest round of the day. He did everything he could do, and it wasn't enough. Koepka also missed three straight birdies of point blank range on the back 9..

Same for every single other golfer in the tourney except for Koepka

Let's not pretend Tiger didn't have some misses as well. There is no moral victory for Tiger here. He was in contention basically til the end of a major for the first time in a long time. Some people said this kind of performance would never come again.

When pointing out how close he really way, sure I do.

Which is why I didn't mention his Sunday. His +3 start and the 3 putt on 17 on Saturday cost him the most. Golf isn't a game of inches... it's millimeters.

And he was a bad bounce from going in the water on 2.

Tiger played better than everyone for 70 straight holes. Again, that's not a moral victory because the first 2 still count. But people brushing this off or discounting it as if it doesn't matter is hilariously sad.
