that stuff is a ripoff. I've ran a weed eater and chainsaw with gas and a splash of motor oil my entire life

I'm pretty sure most people are well aware of the fact they're paying for the convenience.

When we were kids we used to get 40 W lube oil from a tank battery gas compressor. Would mix it with .28 cents per gallon Billups gasoline to run in my 6 h.p. outboard motor. I still have the motor and it still runs.

I can buy a can of it for less than $20 that will last me 2 years or more for my small yard. Or I can try to hunt down some ethanol free gas somewhere near me (can't remember the last time I saw it), hope it has no water in it, mix it, and save maybe $10 over that two years. No thanks. I'll just buy the can.
