if you enjoy it, don’t get out. Probably my biggest regret to this day was getting out.

Just make sure to look out for all the “I would have joined but” stories when you talk to people back home on leave...

“I would have joined but I had a D1 scholarship at QB, even though I’m 5’7, but I blew out my knee”

Look at the coast guard... Same pay and they have warrant officers, unlike the AF

I would’ve joined right after 9/11 but I enjoyed drugs and didn’t want to be blown up in the Middle East.

Have never considered that but I'm also a very poor swimmer.

I joined in 97, did 2 meds and got out Feb 01 because I was a dumbass who got married my last yr and listened to my complaining wife at the time that I was always gone ect. Got out and joined the Army because they were said not to deploy as much at the time and they were more "family oriented" then a few months later 9/11 happened and I was gone again anyways.. Biggest mistake I ever made was swapping over. Got out in 05.

Yea Army and National Guard recruiters contacted me constantly when I first got out. I just couldn’t bring myself to switch branches.
