They have risen steadily, and likely will continue to do so.

btw, LSU is very competitive cost-wise when compared to other flagships. LSU's administrative expenditures are on the lower end of the scale... I've seen some numbers on that and will try to find it.

It just costs a lot of fricking money to run a major university. It's not like the 80s when a pulse would get you in the door, and the buildings and amenities were out of the Flintstones. Colleges have to compete for students nowadays. Given that LSU has the largest entering freshman class IN HISTORY, I would say they are doing ok. My youngest will be in that number.
