Record-Breaking Year of Fundraising

quote:
Louisiana's $12.4 million raised topped last year's $10.8 million, completing a growth in funds raised by more than 14 percent. Cash and new pledges were a sum of investments in Louisiana's annual giving, scholarship endowments, facility campaign gifts, sport-specific giving and premium seat donations.

The new record mark of $12.4 million is the most raised in the 10-year history of the RCAF organization.

quote:
"We are certainly pleased with this accomplishment and are extremely grateful for all of our investors and Cajun Nation, as a whole" Maggard said. "Growing our resources will continue to be a focus moving forward as we prioritize graduating our student-athletes and positioning them to compete for and win championships."

That $12.4 million is nothing for an SEC school but it's a steady growth for us. Once again, trending upward.

Meanwhile up in Ruston they are pulling up their sleeves to support their program:

The difference is Ruston cares a hell of a lot more than Lafayette. Lafayette thinks they’re entitled, Ruston has pulled up their sleeves and got to work. Because of that, Tech is in CUSA. USL, the worse conference in Division 1A football.

Well, I know that we aren't supposed to delve into the financials of any school (or does that just apply to ltu@r?), but that data really does illustrate where each school stands.
