As was said with the Dixie Chicks, “who woulda thought country singers offending the NASCAR crowd wound hurt their career”.

No doubt it was a detour for them... but wasn’t their last tour the highest grossing in the year? It had some impressively successful statistic that surprised me but escapes me now.

Hating anyone that doesn't share your opinion on one issue is super American.
I'm not a country music guy. Why do people freak about country artists' politics more than those of artists from other genres?
I'm pretty sure most of the bands I listen to don't share all of my political/social/religious beliefs, and I don't get all butt-hurt about it.
