I can pretty much guarantee your arms are moving out, even if only slightly at the top. You need to take any thought of hitting the ball with your arms from the top out of your swing. Feel like your arms are limp and you’re trying to throw them through the ball with your pivot, if that makes any sense. Any attempt to hit at it will bury the club a foot behind the ball
