It’s still the foams that provide the benefit, the plates just provide stability and rigidity. I think it’s not recommended to run in carbon daily bc they are so stiff, but some people need a stiff shoe. It really varies from person to person. I think rotating, regardless of the shoe, is most important.

Agreed on the rotating. Right now I’m running easy and treadmill runs in Saucony Triumphs, tempo and long runs in Saucony Endorphin Speed 3s, intervals/speedwork in Saucony Endorphin Pro 2s, with the Vaporfly 3s for race day. It’s worked well for me.

Ordered a pair of Nike Zoom Fly 5s to replace my Endo Pro 2s as they’re at the end of their useful life. These are also plated, so I’m looking forward to seeing how they are for intervals/speedwork.
