I’ve been on the peloton all week. Just too damn hot out. Tweaked my hip flexor but hoping to get back on the roads when we start getting regular PM storms to cool things down a bit.

Happy to be back & running.
All 5k/10k stuff for me moving forward, I've learned what works best for me mentally.
I knew I had to quit in Jan 2021 when I set my half PR....I didn't enjoy a single second of it and riding back I was checking my training app worried about the next day's 15 mile run. BRM is a good & honest dude and we had a long call..... I just was not into it mentally and it became a source of stress , not an outlet.
I've lowered my bodyfat, focused on HIIT & heavy lifting & core work. I feel much stronger and balanced with this month's easy runs to adjust to heat.
Hopefully as training & races kick off again for us, this thread will get back to a technical resource where the truth is given to anyone who wants it..even if it hurts their feelings, it all comes from a good place. There is really some great advice on here from some very strong runners.
