What is with Saints fans and their obsession with running the damn ball?
Our most successful seasons have come when CSP dedicates himself to running the ball. It shortens the game, wears out the other teams D, and gives our D a chance to rest between drives. Nothing bad has ever come from a productive running game. On the other hand Drew can throw for 5,000 yd and the Saints can go 7-9.

I agree with that statement. How also though do you explain the 2014 (I think) season when we had a killer start to the season and we had around 50 yards rushing every game?

I think pass heavy can still win games, it's just hard to maintain over the course of a full season. You still gameplan to your strengths and the opposing teams weaknesses.

I think for starting the season out we may need to be a bit more pass heavy without Ingram. Still think when he comes back CSP will run the ball again. One thing I am interested to see is how our Oline does this year. If those guys are real good then just about anyone can run through the gaps.
