Outside of immigration, the only issue I have with the blanket Hispanic birthrate statements are there is a pretty large distinction between Amerindian Hispanic and Iberian ancestry. It's been turned into one blanket term here which isn't the most accurate for record keeping.
Also, somewhat related and fairly interesting on birthrates.
