S9+ here. I have a headphone jack, expandable storage, and the bloatware has been cut down quite a bit. The user experience is just as fast/smooth as my friends with iPhone X.
That's part of the beauty for me with Android -- you get to pick your flavor. Apple forces you to choose its products exactly as they think you should have it.

I just got the S9+, I had the S8 before that and the nexus 6P before that. It looks like Samsung cleaned up the bloatware that was in the S8. I'm not having any trouble with the S9 at all. I got my wife a note. She loves it.
