Don’t know how he will pan out here but the difference in the pitching he faced this year to SEC pitching is like daylight and dark. Doesn’t come close in comparison

Wyeth hit .433 the year before coming to LSU. I don't think we know if they can carry that hitting into the SEC until they actually get here.

Somebody forgot to tell Raph Rhymes that when he hit over 0.400 leading LSUE to a Natty, then showed up at LSU and hit over 0.400 in the SEC.

Like I originally said, SEC pitching will be a challenge (I've seen it first hand and played for a mid major), but good is good, and Merrifield is solid. Great swing, approach, hand eye coordination, and baseball IQ. I've seen enough to know. Will he hit 0.400? I don't know, but I would be surprised if he did not hit over 0.300, play flawless defense, and be a great teammate, leader, role model, and Tiger.
