The more I think about this and I would like yalls thoughts as well.
If the NCAA does in fact grant everyone another year of eligibility, roster expansion, scholarships amended etc...
I think we may actually see a bump in top high school players taken off the board early and this is why...
The college crop I do expect the top tier juniors to leave however in some cases you’ll have a junior (2 years of eligibility left) or a draft eligible sophomore (3 years of eligibility left) after this waiver. Depending on where they are drafted and if lower than hoped will have a mulligan to do better if you are following my drift. Now this will be a global problem and not something that will benefit a certain school per say.
The high school seniors may see this as a threat on playing time and in essence could become “more singable” depending on who is in front of them in college.
Example - Cole Henry goes round 4. Does he think he’s a late 1st rounder? Does he want to risk another year in college.
There could be some extremely unbalanced powers in college next year with a little luck. I feel for some of the top teams this year with top heavy junior lineups who are top 100 prospects.
