The problem with Melton is PHX is not going to settle with his as the starting PG. They have been aggressive in trying to trade for one and I'm sure they will be the same in FA if they can't get someone at the deadline. He is putting up good stats on a really shitty team without Booker's usage rate. I don't blame you for pimping him now though.

Real talk: yeh they’re looking to add a playmaking PG
But they’re using Trevor Ariza to try to obtain that.
I look at it from a Pellies perspective: what am I willing to give up for Ariza? Probably Frank Jackson.
Is Frank Jackson better than Melton? A bunch of guys I follow had Melton as a borderline lottery talent.
I think Booker could help Melton in the backcourt. Be a little more efficient, better looks, etc.
I’m fully aware nobody is going to trade for him after five games. But let’s see what he’s up to come the ASB. Just planting that seed right now for my fellow league pass mates, mate

I'm not saying he doesn't have a place in the league. I was just discussing his long-term outlook. I think PHX will be aggressive in looking to find a PG and I don't think Ariza is the only chance they will have to get one. Like I said I think FA/Offseason is the more likely place that they will bring someone in.
It will be interesting to watch him develop especially once Booker is back.
