The fan base is totally different now than it was back in the 60's 70's and 80's....some of its due to tv and day games, the sec network having every game on and the internet.
Also today's fan base is way to much of the wine and cheese crowd...some of the true tiger fans of the past have died off..
Then other people just have no desire to fight the traffic the crowds and terrible overpriced concessions along with long bathroom lines....its just easier to stay home fire up the grill with a cold one and watch it on that big flat screen tv...than fight all of the above
Finally ticket prices and donations have run some people away...and the pay to park to tailgate has also done the same

This is me. It's not worth the hassle to us anymore. We just invite friends over and cook at home. I've probably been to 2 games in the past 7-8 years.

The accessibility of games on TV as well as the advent of HD has cheapened the in person experience.

The concessions don’t bring people in, but they could keep people there. It’s not just the quality, it’s the price. 7 dollars for a drink that costs them 30 cents? You bring a family of four and you’re dropping at least 100 on food and beverage in addition to tickets and parking.

No fan base is like it was in the 60's, 70s and 80s..... especially when teams look less and less each year like those fans...... the demographic of a football fan period has changed dramatically.

The fan base is indeed different. I also remember the late 60's, 70's, and 80's fondly. I held onto my tickets until the mid 90's. The crowd had changed to the point that it was not conducive to bringing young children. As time as progressed, the TS experience has regressed. Consequently, some of us decided to save our money and stay home where it was more comfortable. The nickel and diming of every little thing has been a big turn off. The experience is just not as good as it once was, and I doubt that we will ever go back there again. Times have simply changed too much. Others can have the seats, and from what I am gathering, the waiting line is not what it once was.

How insightful. 50 years of people dying and being born and you're telling me the fanbase is different... wow. How many fan bases are still the same in the world???
