Based on 5 year reliability survey data, I am not sure if the difference in reliability will trump costs fr most of these.
American Standard/Trane seems to be a safe bet in terms of the cost/reliability crossover. Goodman, Rheem/Ruud and York seem to be lower reliability units. Heat pump and traditional central AC data below.

I've had Tranes for some time and always been satisfied. American Standard and Trane are the same company.

Hard to quantify something like this. All i know is we have had extreme luck with RUUD and Rheem in our business. Like i mentioned, we have a plan where if we install your unit (whichever brand you choose) we are on the hook for parts, labor, repair, callouts, etc for 5-7 years. We prefer for people to pick rheem or ruud because we have had the least amount of issues and the least amount of costs over time. Thats all i can tell you
