Jordy and T-Bob talk to LSU Defensive Coordinator Dave Aranda.
Dead period doesn't give LSU coaches a month to rest. Recruiting continues. Have to keep strong relationships with commits.
Great group of analysts. Opponent scouts and "self"-?? scouts have been putting in a lot of time to get game plans started, identifications of opponents schemes and concepts.
Going into 3rd year he is excited about it. With the guy and leadership coming back and the experience up front. Will be a lot of different looks, different simulated pressures, different coverages he thinks they can get to. This is the first time with guys coming back with the ability to "build upon".
Talks about Greedy and matchups. He is just different. He exudes confidence.
Other side CB - great competition - Karry Vincent played last season, Kelvin Joseph and Kirkland, Terrence just got in. There is an ability to have guys can play inside or outside. To be able to move guy in or out and create looks that we want, I think we have that ability.
The analysts have been great. He looks at Kevin Coyle - he had been in the NFL for a long time. Has been a coordinator in the NFL. When Aranda was coming up at Cal Lutheran he would go visit Coyle at Fresno State. He would learn quarter's coverage and SAM (strong safety) blitzes. When at Hawaii Dave would visit him with the Cincinnati Bengals. Awesome to have his eyes on things and get his input on how he sees opponents, play callers, schemes and get input on LSU's scheme on which technique to use.
Mark Criner is another analyst - has known him as since Dave's days at Utah St. Busch and Dave were both at Ut St and Mark was at Louisiana Tech. Talked to him on the phone back then. Mark always gave the detail of the opponent, as well as what they are trying to do, this is who they are, this is their personality, this is their signals. When the position came up he was someone he wanted to talk to
Aaron Schwanz was with Dave at Wisconsin. He has a knack for finding tendencies and new ways. Studies the SEC and NFL. finding how people playing it differently, picks up on and points out what has hurt people in the past.
Radio guy: 5-star to 3-star recruits have all mentioned Bill Busch.
Dave: He is a tireless worker, very detailed, does not waste any time everything is diagrammed/planned. Great recruiter.
Micah Baskerville has a great knack for football. The game slows down for him. Always gets to where the ball is going to be. Looking forward to seeing him in fall camp.
On Eaux: The whole team is energized. He does a great job of keeping everybody fresh and keeping everybody excited about what they are doing. Everyone is excited to come to work, everyone is smiling and laughing. It's a real positive place right now.
The kids pick up on it too. We are in Tiger stadium now and when they make their way over here they are hanging out with everybody and having fun. They feel like there is a tightness, they feel like a team including the freshmen and transfers. You give all that credit to Coach Eaux he has done a great job of cultivating that. He is getting the guys to where there is an edge to them and a togetherness to them and that is what you want.
Talked about Kershaw in another sport and Justin Turner. Announcer said go Blue and talked about a great run they have been on. I have no idea what/who this was but Dave was excited and seems to be a huge fan.

jordy waivered in his loyalty last year during him and scone's facebook lives shows. i am surprised he is getting access again. probably had to make a blood oath to get aranda on.

No excuses.
Ed O has been given everything from a shadow staff to a stacked roster to the highest paid dc and hand picked his OC.
No reason this team shouldnt be in Atlanta come December.

If it was T-Bob, he’d have wanted to get Aranda’s take on the migrant situation and who his favorite contributor on pantsuitnation.com is.

More like T-Bob would have asked him how many bananas he thought Rivers could fit in her mouth.

They're not downvoting the Aranda interview. They're downvoting the POS OP.
