I worked with some Indians a few years back and was invited to a wedding. The invite said 7:30, so the wife and I show up at 7:25. NO ONE is there at the venue. Not a soul. A couple of minutes later a coworker and her husband show up, also both Americans. We walked around looking fr someone and nothing. We started checking the invitation to make sure had the right date and time,yep, it all checked out.

About 20 minutes go by and then the brother of the groom, who was also a coworker, comes out dressed in jeans and a T shirt and says "hey, I thought y'all might be here. Suhail forgot to tell y'll, Indian weddings NEVER start on time. Y'all should probably go find someplace to get a drink or something, people will start getting here around 9."

We couldn't believe it. We were starving so we went to dinner, had a few drinks, then came back for the ceremony. Being someone who insists on being early for everything, this shite drove me CRAZY.
