Anyway I could see 11-2 or 10-3. I just don't think we will lose more than 3 games IF Burrow plays like he's showed and has the playbook down. I think Steve E will ease him into things if he sees that he's the QB we need.
You honestly don't need this complicated offense to confuse the defense. You simply have to call the right plays at the right times to fool a defense. Do things you wouldn't typically do on first down and the like. Execute your plays. Mix pass and run on any given down and distance. Let your QB take some chances but in a smart way. Use the entire field and your entire arsenal of weapons.
Burrow doesn't seem to panic, is accurate, has a strong enough arm and sees the field. He can actually read a defense and put the ball in the place that most affects a defense. I'm telling you with a guy like that and with LSUs talent, there's almost nothing you can do to stop it.
You clearly see guys coming free while he's throwing the football and he just sits there and throws it accurately while making the correct reads. He did it in the limited time he played in games that were decided, in their spring games and in HS. He did it consistently and the people that know him and seen him play think he can carry that over so he's going to be at least as good as Etling while our offense has more depth and defense is much stronger.
The schedule is stronger as well but I think this guy is much better than Etling and has the offense which fits him while also having a very deep core of WRs who are just ready to show the world what they have. I'm ready for this season!
