SU hasn’t done an awful job of recruiting QBs. LSU has done an awful job developing

Kind of both.

Didn’t matter what school guys like Jennings and Rettig went to, they weren’t good.

That’s recruiting.

Good thing you didn't mention Brandon Harris. He was the GOAT. Jerrard Randall was one of the best also. Phillip Rivers is still in the NFL with the Chargers.

LSU has had GREAT QB's. The verdict is still out on Lindsey Scott but I think he will get his chance when Mett is gone.

Don't agree. Do you think Prescott would have been even half as good as he was had he come to LSU straight out of high school? What about Teddy Bridgewater, Johnny Manziel, RG3, Darren Thomas, etc. These were guys that at one point or another wanted to attend LSU out of high school, but most of the time we declined or other guys committed over them.

They ran wide open offenses that catered to their skillset. We never did that under Miles. Even with Cam Cameron, the only reason we looked so good was because Mett was already developed somewhere else and just needed slight adjustments and SEC experience, and we had two future multi pro bowl WRs that he could throw to.

You gonna tell me Ryan Perriloux wouldn't have been good? Even JJ after completing 61% of his passes with 17 TDs to 7 ints in 11 games as a first year sophomore with zero run game and the worst LSU OL of this century, regressed to an embarrassing state. That guy had talent. He was 6'5 with a cannon arm, 4.6 speed, and more efficient passing the ball in 2009 than a redshirt senior Flynn was in 2007. Harris had insane physical talent, but I always believed he'd have been better if we ran a spread offense from jump. Who knows what he could have done if actually properly coached from jump.

Nah, it's more on development man. When it's year after year after year, although you bring in guys from Cali, Georgia, Texas, pro styles, dual threats, 3 stars and a stupid amount of 4 stars. Guys with little to no mobility, to guys that are so athletic, that they could play RB and possibly WR. From 5'11 guys up to 6'7 guys.
