Cooking down the onions, celery and bell peppers and getting the smoked hocks going. Bell peppers are from the garden and super crisp.

Beans are done!
Sent some home with my daughter and later she sent me a message that my Granddaughter ate some and loved them. She's 19 mos. old and loves my cooking. LOl.......

Home cooked red beans is the first table food my daughter ever ate and she’s 4 now and still looks for me to cook red beans and sausage once a week. It’s her comfort food and I can’t blame her one bit.
