To be fair: while this is kind of of ‘interest’ piece and I’m perfectly glad that it was posted, I don’t really care much at all.

I gotta agree with the sentiment. It affects me none at all (directly or emotionally)


Again, that is not a slight on the OP for posting it.

To be clear, I do not always agree with your viewpoints, but you strike me as someone who WOULD be interested in discussing the philosophical implications of the studies on Koko’s language development and possible sentience. What do they say to us about legal rights and (more broadly) what it might mean to be human?

I cannot say the same of all posters on this forum. Many simply lack that level of curiosity or interest in abstract thought.
