Texas Monthly has a great article about a series of Houston armored car robberies. The robbers would immediately shoot the guard outside the truck and haul arse with the money. Would probably still be doing it except someone inside gave the cops a tip.
It's a hell of a story about how the robbers pulled it off and how the cops solved it.

Beginning in 2015, Houston was plagued by a series of brutal armored car robberies that bewildered FBI agents for nearly two years. To finally bring down the unassuming mastermind behind it all, the agents had to stage an elaborate trap—and catch him in the act.

Armored car robberies are very common here in Houston. They tend to get caught though (inside job naturally).
