Reserve a spot ahead of time. My wife and I went a few years back and there was a few hours wait if you didn't have a spot reserved.

So we checked out the memorial and everything but ended up skipping the museum.

The high line is really cool.

Obviously there are no shortage of great places to eat and drink.

Just my opinion, but instead of going into the museum (which takes money and additional time waiting in line), I'd just see the memorial, which you can just walk right up to.

If you want to see a "museum," go to St. Paul's Chapel which is nearby. If you're not familiar with it, it was a essentially a place of refuge, prayer, and rest for the rescue workers during the aftermath of 9/11.

You can feel tangibly feel the weight of the moment when you're inside. And there's also some museum-type stuff in there as well.
