Most of the guides running out of Slidell this time of year are not fishing the Slidell area. They're actually fishing the same areas that the Shore Thing boats fish, so you can catch fish going with either one of them.
I'd recommend Kris Robert or Mike Gallo. Both are good guys and excellent fishermen.

Sonny with shorething is pretty good. He is going to fish some of the same areas as some of the guides out of hopedale /shell beach area will in the LA marsh. Really just depends. Bigger trout will be out of the St Bernard fishing the rigs in Eloi and Black Bay. Reds are also thick in the marsh. You do have a good chance of catching a triple tail though if you go with Sonny and its calm enough to run the crab traps.
