Bought one( lowest level Arlo). Having trouble with motion detection. Have adjusted camera every way possible. You have to be literally almost in front of camera to get notification. Possibly need upgrade? Anyone has any ideas?

I had the same problem. When the batteries died, I moved it to a conspicuous area and never replaced them. It was a worthless camera system. It's only there for looks now

Did you adjust the sensitivity of the motion detection?
Open the app, go to Devices. Tap the gear icon on the device you want to adjust. Adjust the sensitivity in the Motion Detection Test menu. You can also adjust the sound detection. The same changes can be made in the mode menu.

Agree on the sensitivity. It doesn't have to be the Arlo itself that needs to be adjusted. Might find few help here. Mine does the opposite though, I get false notifs every now and then. But I just let it be, I feel that every motion sensed is important, I'm paranoid like that.
