Forgetting the latter nonsense - Not since my dad briefly had a 1982 vette and I could drive, which was 1985/1986. I hated it, it was an automatic. I preferred his 280 ZX Manual trans and later the 300 ZX which was an auto too.

So you drove one of the most underpowered Vette’s ever and they all suck now because of it?
ETA Personally is rather the Camaro ZL1 if we’re talking brand new.
