Switch Question Re: Undocked Battery Life

Does anyone else have the issue of their battery running down when it's not docked but not on?
Was about to leave for a trip and realized it was still in my carrying case after being charged, but it was down to 1% when I turned it on

How long did it sit since you last played? I've had my friend's switch in a bag for like a week or so before getting it back to him and it would be completely dead. Think it has to do with putting the system to sleep instead of actually turning it off.

This. I travel all the time so I'm hitting it every 16-24 hours or so without charges, and it's always fine. Maybe 2-3% less than when I turned it off.

One thing I have noticed. It seems as though if I have mine charging in the case and pull out the power plug, I have had times that it actually turns on the screen and stayed on. I have had it drain the whole thing and had no clue what happened. Another time I had opened it up and it was hot from being on. Always make sure you aren't pulling the plug and zipping up the case without making sure the power is off.
It may be an issue that only I have experienced, but your situation sounds familiar.

Yeah, I'll be sure to fully power it down. It's actually my first time going on a trip with it, so I didn't want to have a meltdown at the airport because my battery is dead when I get there

Did you actually turn it off or just hit the power button so it went to sleep?

Sleep and I think that's the problem because all my games are updated at least
