I searched and couldn't find anything. I thought OMLandshark would have already posted this. And if Its already been posted, my apologies.

This is sad. Great talent who is one of the biggest innovators the film industry has ever seen.

"NEW YORK (AP) -- John Lasseter, the co-founder of Pixar Animation Studios and the Walt Disney Co.'s animation chief, will step down at the end of the year after acknowledging "missteps" in his behavior with staff members."

Shame. All those years Michael Jackson was pounding little boys in the arse and no one cared.

Now if you hug a co-worker the #metoo marching band comes to town.

How did we miss the sweet spot inbetween?

Is he the one who hugged everyone?

He was pulled out months ago when the allegations surfaced. I guess they were hoping everything would calm down and he could exit quietly. Not likely.

Interesting that the article doesn’t really mention the things he was accused of.

Not a giant surprise. He was fond of having female staff sit on his lap while they reviewed work the women had done. He also came across as a very hug and touch sort of person. To everyone he came across.

It only takes a few of those people to find it creepy before you are swimming in dangerous waters with corporate.

This is a major blow to Pixar/Disney. Lasseter was the behind the scenes genius who got results, even if it meant firing the original director and bringing in someone new to improve the product.

Its hard to find the mix of creative genius who is ruthless enough to run a studio.
