You are easily scared. I found nothing remotely good or scary about this money. It was long and drawn out nonsense. I thought it was a spoof of a real horror film. Did not enjoy this one at all. To each his own.

The horror genre I believe is the most subjective of all genres. I went in trying not to get my hopes up because the last few horrors that had great reviews I ended up not liking. I hated The Witch and It Comes At Night. Also, wasn’t as high on A Quiet Place as most and think It Follows is one of the most overrated horrors on this board. Not because they were bad movies but simply because the scare factor wasn’t there for me in any of them. I had thought maybe its become impossible to really be scared anymore.
I’m not going to say Hereditary is going to keep me from sleeping or anything like that but that was the first time in a long time I had chills during several scenes and could feel my heart beat quickening during tense moments. The critics had the perfect word for it “unsettling”. It wasn’t so much “disturbing” like a clock work orange or requiem for a dream and it wasn’t the traditional jump scare paranormal scary like insidious or the conjuring it was just very tense and unsettling the whole movie.
The actress that played Annie played a hell of a role and her facial expressions of horror made a lot of it. Also, the whole movie was very very quiet and a lot of the scary scenes were during the day which is tough to do. I loved it and hope the genre can take notes from this one

Count me in. This movie was idiotic.
