Flying into Edinburgh Sunday AM, and playing the old and new course next week. Getting pretty pumped about going
Anyone have any suggestions on other courses to play?
Was going to play Carnoustie but they want everyone to hit off mats since the open is there in a month.
Also, any general tips on playing in Scotland?
We stayed at Carnoustie but couldn't play because of a Euro Tour event.
We played at Panmure which was about 10 minutes from Carnoustie. Beautiful course with a rural Scotland feel to it.
We also played at Montrose Golf Links (30 mins from carnoustie) which had two of the coolest holes I've played in my short career
2nd tee box is on a sea side cliff. Fade right and you're in the North Sea
Both were great courses. Panmure was more countryside with sprawling hills, tight fairways and long grass rough
Montrose seemed easier but the wind was brutal being we were right on the edge of the North Sea. Montrose had great vistas of the town.
I loved watching locals stroll down the street, set up at the tee and start their round without checking in at the clubhouse
Take me with you!
