Im not defending the actions of the players that are kneeling, im just curious if people know how often the flag is disrespected if we were to go by the actual flag rules.

the flag code is a stupid policy created in 1942 because they didnt want kids standing for the pledge/anthem resembling nazi youth (see the bellamy salute)

Yeah I get ya. The point is that most of those rules don't appear as disrespectful, they were probably made long ago anyway when culture was different. For example wearing the flag is now seen as national pride.

I have a liberal friend who was in scouts and acts all high and mighty because he “knows the flag rules”

Yet he can’t see the difference between someone 100% purposefully trying to disrespect the flag and someone else doing something innocently.

You sound kinda like him atm
