It's all relative. I've been offered 300k jobs for what I do in the Bay area. And after doing the math, I'd take a quality of life/cost of living cut compared to what I'm making here in Cola.

Someone I know was on a team that was based in Chicago that the company wanted to move to Connecticut. The company said they would give raises. This person probably made 130k. The manager of said team did the math for everyone on the team and said the average team member would have to make double to live in Connecticut for the same standard of living.
