You will work long hours but it is great experience. I miss it in a weird way. They are looking for someone they don’t mind spending long hours with, so just try and be yourself and portray someone who is good to work with. In other words, they really hire personalities. They will give you ample training to succeed. Good luck
Thank you. That’s right in my wheel house then, at least I think. I’m sure a lot think that of themselves. I’m knowledgeable and a quick learner, but of course there’s always much to learn. Not afraid of the work, but I do have small children now. I can understand you missing it. I miss the the job I had where I worked the hardest and the most. I accomplished a lot and had great relationships there. I’m hoping that’s what I find here, should I be offered in the process.

That’s what keeps me from considering going back. The culture at those places is very career focused. Just the way it is.
Like Mingo said, consulting is different. But most of the consultants (big 4 and others) I have worked with travel almost exclusively. The hours are what they are but time away from home is just tough to imagine for me.

I think you will be fine presenting yourself, just make sure you ask what you need to in order to feel comfortable in what you are getting yourself into.
