I am not so much against her starting as I am that she is starting, always, playing every game, every out, to the exclusion of Weinberger who is a far more natural outfielder.

I felt the same about Griggs, Serret, Sanchez and the whole bunch...give the other players a chance to play. Springfield should get playing time. Everybody knows with an A-to-Z remake of her batting approach she'd be a terror that the SEC has not seen.

I am saying that there is not one of them that is too good to let the others play, especially those who have stats that show they get on base when given a chance.

Just about every team has a senior, or two, or three, that does not start, and that is fine, but you cannot treat the position players like the pitching staff.... if a pitcher is doing good, leave her in... on the position player side, if you have an underclassmen sitting the bench that can play, sit the starter when you can and put the underclassmen in.

Hate to go back to Nicky D, but she was a better hitter than just about everybody on that team, and she played sparingly.... i dont know what was behind all that, but NO coach should show undying loyalty to the starting nine players.

You lose people that way.

I'd like to see the non-starters get more time on the field...nothing against Antoine, and I do think she is going to go over .320 next year, but we got some good, hard-working kids sitting the bench that deserve some playing time.

+1, also OU, UCLA, Washington, and Oregon all do it as well

I am a big Torina fan but the one thing I strongly disagree with is that we leave certain kids in thinking it will eventually click. Some have had over 200-300 at bats with minimal improvements or are stagnant. For me it doesn't make much sense. I am not saying the kids don't work hard but sometimes there doesn't seem to be a sense of urgency. Sitting a kid for two or three games will light a fire under their asses. Its good competition.

Sunseri needs to bat next to Doyle next year. I do think both will provide protection for one another and it'll help each other out. Doyle and Sunseri both need to be in that 3 and 4 holes. Andrews lead off as usual.

I still stand by that Clark will be a major contributor if she plays early. I've watched her play with Sunseri for years with the Texas Bombers vs good competition and she really is the real deal as a hitter. The question is, if she does provide a major spark, how do you fit her in a lineup with Sunseri as well? We need to put the best hitters in the lineup and try to make it work defensively. It doesn't work the other way around.

Would Torina bench Schulte or Schlattman? Torina prefers kids with experience but I don't mind taking lumps to develop the young kids who have a far higher ceiling.

These last two recruiting classes (freshman and sophomore classes) have been really good for us, hopefully the one coming in can adapt and provide the same spark. There is no question some kids are ridiculously talented and are capable of being big names, its just hard to predict how kids respond to this new level of play

The 2018 recruiting class is extremely deep!!
