What if Paddock was there to make a deal and the three chicks went to see him and attempted an assassination which he survived. Maybe that pissed him off and he went to shooting?
I don’t know, just a thought.
I know that the only reason all went quiet is because the government wanted it quiet. Paddock was a IC asset and involved in a fast and furious type program that went wrong somehow. No surviving perp, case closed. Another lone gunman with no answers.

I do believe the demographic of the victims plays a part in the media response, and rightly so.

Easiest explanation of the 3 females is that they were sent down from the Saudi Prince for his friend to enjoy......
Also explains why it is kept so quiet. Nothing can derail the reforms happening in KSA and the alliance with Israel against Iran.
