Does anyone have a SIM/Map card for a lowrance hook 7. Looking for the Barataria bay/myrtle grove area. Thanks in advance.

I’ve heard the processor in the Hook is to slow for up and running navigation but call Standard mapping and question them about it

From the standard mapping website:
quote:
Attention Elite HDI, Elite Chirp, and HOOK users, due to the processor built into your GPS and the size of our mapping software will have a delay in zooming and scrolling around the map

As others have mentioned, when you zoom in and out, it’s slow as hell. Map just goes blank. But it’s fine while it’s up and running and on the airial setting you desire.
I flipped out the first time I used it...

Does the map view scroll fast enough and show correct boat location when you’re skint back and rollin? Leaving the map behind was the problem, just what I’ve heard.

I been telling y'all to go with HDS units for years.
