Look, I’m doing very well for myself, but it’s myopic to ignore what the real estate bubble did for Boomers. My early childhood home had almost doubled in value by time my parents sold it less than half a decade later. Not because my parents had done anything particularly clever. Just because the market was screaming. The next house they bought skyrocketed in value as well. As did the one the live in now.
But the house they live in now has been stagnant in value for about half a decade.
Does anyone realistically think that my generation won’t face some measure of hardship because real property has skyrocketed in value and then stagnated, so we not only have to pay top dollar, but we see very little of the wealth building effects enjoyed by previous generations?

You leave out that most boomers also got a decent wage doing that work and that those wages in general went farther. They now hate their fellow countrymen so much that want to import slaves from the southern border to pick their crops, mow their lawns, and “do the jobs Americans won’t do”. How did that idea work out for us last time we tried it? How about instead we pay a nickel more for a pint of strawberries so our fellow Americans can get a fair wage and be willing to do those sorts of jobs?
