It will never happen, but that is the perfect place for a major speedway. It’s not the dumbest plan ever floated by Jackson leaders.
I still contend that the only chance to fix Jackson is a forced metropolitan Government and every major entity like airports be governed by regional authorities.
Continental is opening in Hinds County in 2020. The olive branch needs to be extended before then.

With declining attendance at races and viewership on tv, I'm not so sure.
You're right though, it will never happen.
I think Jackson is having trouble maintaining their zoo which is open year round. Having two, maybe three races a year is not a money maker for the taxpayers.
