I think that is just how you want the dividends to be paid, back into brokerage acct or to say checking acct. It was my understanding that sharebuilder let you auto deduct from an external acct and slowly buy shares bit by bit. Am i correct?

With Fidelity, you can set it up to pull from an external account on a regular basis. Go to Account Features -> Automatic Investments -> Transfers from your bank.
They do have an auto share buying option too. It's the "Transfer Within This Account" section of the Automatic Investments page.
However it only works for mutual funds and and not stocks/etfs. I guess that's because Fidelity doesn't want to worry about or be held accountable for what price something gets bought at.
